Acadian Companies is a majority employee-owned health transportation support and education company headquartered in Lafayette, Louisana. The company was founded in 1971 and has seven different divisions with global reach. Acadian has earned a reputation as one of the nation’s most respected and largest privately held medical transportation companies.

Acadian became employee-owned in 1993 when they implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Employee ownership has given Acadian’s employees a sense of pride in their work, through that pride it strengthens the company’s foundation and promotes continued growth.
