Maine Drilling & Blasting (MD&B) is an employee-owned company headquartered in Gardiner, Maine. Founded in 1966 by husband and wife team, Ted and Judy Purington, provides drilling, blasting and related specialty services in the New England, Mid-Atlantic, & Southeast areas. Today, the company operates ten locations that covers areas from Maine to Alabama.
In 2004, Maine Drilling & Blasting became employee-owned when they implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The ownership culture at MD&B is grounded in honesty, respect, fairness, and responsibility. Together, employee owners work to contribute to the shared success of the company. As owners, employees benefit from the company’s successes. Employees are empowered to consistently utilize all resources to collectively create innovative solutions for their customers.
