Together, the company is a third generation business that offers gasolines, diesel fuels, thinners, solvents, kerosene, automotive, commercial and industrial lubricants of the finest quality. Merit Oil provides delivery of products as well as wethose and cardlock fueling. Cool Transports is a common carrier that provides for hire hauling of refined petroleum products. Merit Oil Company has 5 different locations. Merit Oil Company is a proud member of the Western Petroleum Marketers Association (WPMA) , California Independent Oil Marketers Association and the California Truckers Association.
Merit Oil Company became employee-owned in 2021 when it implemented an ESOP. Employee ownership reinforces the company's strong commitment to the local communities in which it operates.
