Merus is a 100% employee-owned holding company in the real estate industry headquartered in Cincinnati, Ohio. Founded in 1894, the company specializes in commercial construction projects for industrial facilities, office and medical buildings, multifamily residential and mixed-use developments. Rooted in design-build construction, Merus’s approach integrates all functions in-house including design, project management, finance, leasing, and ongoing portfolio management. Today, the company operates four offices, in Ohio, Tennessee, Pennsylvania, and North Carolina.
In 2014 Merus became employee-owned when they established their Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Merus upholds the principle of "Taking Ownership," a hallmark of their employee-ownership structure, where each team member approaches every project as if it were their own. Their dedication transcends the ordinary, setting a high standard of commitment.
