Monterey Mechanical is a majority employee-owned industrial contractor and metal fabricator headquartered in Oakland, California. The company was founded in the midst of World War II, 1942, to support the war effort with military base construction support. Monterey Mechanical now industrial projects that include water and wastewater treatment plants, power generation facilities, and other complex industrial facilities.
Monterey Mechanical became employee-owned in 2006 when they implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Employee Ownership reinforces the company's core values of safety, customer satisfaction, integrity, respect, collaborative innovation, and sustainability.
