Northwest River Supplies, Inc., (NRS) is a 100% Certified Employee-Owned sporting goods retailer headquartered in Moscow, Idaho. Founded in his garage, Bill Parks set out to create his first catalog of boating gear in 1972. Since producing the first purpose-built dry bag for boaters in 1977, NRS has established itself as a symbol of durable, dependable equipment crafted to meet the rigorous standards of its most demanding clientele: professional outfitters and guides worldwide. NRS's enduring commitment to delivering professional-grade equipment permeates every facet of its product design. 

In 2014, Northwest River Supplies became employee-owned when its founder, Bill Parks, sold the company to his employees, implementing an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). Employee ownership has not only positively impacted the financial futures of NRS employees but has also elevated the company as a whole. The transition revealed the transformative potential of motivated workers transitioning into dedicated owners.
