About Us

The Solaray Corporation is a 100% employee-owned company in the renewable energy industry headquartered in Honolulu, Hawaii. Established in 1973 in Oahu, Hawaii, and formally incorporated in 1975, The Solaray Corporation, the parent company of Inter-Island Solar Supply, ranks among the world's most enduring renewable energy enterprises. It comprises Inter-Island Solar Supply, Pacific Liquid and Air Systems, and SunEarth Corporation, a manufacturer of solar collectors. The company's primary mission revolves around providing clean energy solutions, aimed at breaking Hawaii's costly and environmentally harmful reliance on fossil fuels for electricity generation. With four strategically located branch offices in Oahu, Kahului, Lihue, and Kailua-Kona within the Hawaiian Islands, Inter-Island efficiently caters to over 650 wholesale customers.

In 2014 The Solaray Corporation became employee-owned when it implemented an Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP). The ESOP transaction was orchestrated by founder Cully Judd and President Richard Reed. Being an employee-owned company means everyone has a stake in the company’s success. This dynamic provides motivation for employees to do their best work and provide exceptional customer service. Their dedicated team of employee owners are industry leaders providing sales and technical support to their customers.
