Description
General Purpose:
The Bulk Oil Driver is responsible for operating PrairieLand Partners (PLP) commercial vehicles to deliver bulk fluids to the dealerships. The Bulk Oil Driver reports to the Transportation Manager.
Essential Functions:

- Transports bulk fluids to customers in PLPs area of responsibility.
- Safely drives PLP vehicle to and from destination.
- Assembles new bulk oil customer equipment.
- Checks loads to ensure product is being hauled in an appropriate and safe manner.
- Verifies directions with supervisor before leaving PLP to ensure delivery to the correct customer.
- Ensures equipment is in an acceptable condition of cleanliness using approved cleaning materials and supplies.
- Maintains contact with supervisor to receive and transmit delivery instructions.
- Completes pre-trip and post-trip inspections on PLP vehicle equipment and supplies.
- Maintains good working knowledge of the traffic routes of the area.
- Performs other duties as required and necessary to ensure the success of PrairieLand Partners.

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Ability to consistently promote, support, work, and act in a manner in support of PrairieLand Partners vision, mission, and values.
- Knowledge of Department of Transportation (DOT) driving regulations and area roads.
- Ability to pump product to and/or from a tote, drum, or tank.
- Ability to develop working relationships with customers, both external and internal, to maximize sales, service, and parts opportunities and to ensure customer needs are addressed.
- Ability to perform minor roadside repairs, such as installing light bulbs.
- Ability to professionally represent PLP at all times and to meet or exceed customer expectations.
Education:
- High School Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) equivalent is required.
Experience:
- Two years of experience operating commercial vehicles is required.
- Experience delivering bulk fluids preferred.
- An equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted on a year for year basis.
Additional Requirements/Licenses/Certifications:
- Must have reliable transportation.
- Must have a valid drivers license.
- Commercial Drivers License is required.
- Must have proof of ability to meet DOT physical requirements.
- Passing a driving record (MVR), criminal history background checks, employment verification, and drug screen will be required prior to the start of employment.
- Passing a Drug Screen is required at random request and in the event of a qualified traffic incident as required by PLP or to comply with DOT requirements.

- Occasional outdoor work in extreme weather conditions (hot/cold); walking on uneven terrain; occasional exposure to insects.
- Work may be performed in a standard laboratory, field, or an office environment during all types of temperatures, weather conditions and all times of day or night while being exposed to excessive noise from machines. Snowy, wet, and muddy conditions will exist. Work may be done in confined or cramped spaces.
- Regular and long-term exposure to work areas containing toxic/caustic/hazardous/volatile chemicals; extreme conditions such as hot/cold; sharp hazards; dust/fumes/gasses; electrical shock; moving mechanical parts; high pitched and/or constant loud noise; sometimes long-term contact with bacteria and odorous, infectious/obnoxious material.
- Work may involve assisting with sampling, calibration of equipment and process instruments calibration / maintenance often in difficult areas.
- Ability to use gas monitoring equipment, safety tripod and harness and any other required safety equipment for entering both high and low hazard confined spaces for either plant.
- Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) required including cold weather gear, eye protection, gloves, and provided uniform.
- A clean and safety-conscientious environment required while employed.
- Work may involve long hours and overtime during holidays, weekends, and evenings.
- May be required to rotate on-call responsibilities.
- Must reside within 30 minutes of facility to be included with on-call rotation.

- Ability to sit for sustained periods of time while operating a motor vehicle.
- Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, and ability to adjust focus.
- Strenuous physical work involving heavy lifting, pushing, or pulling of objects up to 50 pounds frequently and 75 pounds occasionally.
- Moving, positioning and carrying loads of up to 15 pounds upstairs and loading on four-foot-high surfaces frequently.
- Ability to withstand extreme hot and cold temperatures.
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee may be exposed to fumes such as vehicle exhaust.
- While performing the duties of the job, the employee is regularly exposed to loud noise such as the sounds of vehicle motors.
