Seeking a skilled Configuration Management Analyst (CM), maintaining configuration control and accounting, supporting the Agile process of SW development, and completing Physical Configuration Audits of Hardware for projects supporting the U.S. Army. Candidate will work in a Configuration Management team of the Project Management Office, and AVMC PIF, Hardware CM group to support all acquisition activities and effective lifecycle management of US Army products.
Responsibilities and areas of support include, but are not limited to, the following:
Manage the receipts, records, reporting, and archiving of all Configuration Management (CM) baseline products, including data from customer and external activities.
Prepare and present reports, briefings, and white papers.
Participate in and conduct technical meetings and working groups.
Ensure traceability of designs to requirements.
Vet and disposition change requests in a timely and thorough manner.
Control and document approved changes to baselines.
Incorporate verified changes in all affected items and documentation promptly and accurately.
Include consistent and appropriate provisions in Engineering Change Proposals (ECP) and related contract actions.
Maintain a complete audit trail of design decisions and modifications.
Conduct HW CM control for all AVMC PIF products on aviation platforms (Blackhawk UH 60, Apache AH 64, and Chinook CH47).
Review and issue dispositions for contractors' product deliveries, covering CDRLs, TDP drawings, ECPs, RFVs, and other CM-related documents.
Conduct Physical Configuration Audits.
Develop, update, and actively participate in the creation of office-wide internal documents.
Demonstrate knowledge in DoD 5000.02 Defense Acquisition Instruction and Industry and Government configuration, management standards and specifications (EIA649C, EIA HDBK 649, MIL-STD-31000B, and MIL HDBK 61B)
Bachelor's degree and 8+ years of related experience. Additional, relevant experience will be considered in lieu of a degree.
Active DoD Secret Clearance is required to start.
Ability to work in a team environment, strong work ethic and proactive in all manners related to the job
Clear and effective oral and written communications skills
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Excel)
General understanding of the Army’s processes and policies
