This role is responsible for ensuring the operational availability of secure, effective, and reliable IT systems that support company growth. The individual will manage and maintain the organization's computing environment to meet business needs, mitigate risks, and ensure continuous system performance. Key responsibilities include overseeing emerging technologies, monitoring IT systems, maintaining network infrastructure, providing tiers 2 and 3 support, and executing regular maintenance updates.


Duties and Responsibilities
• Demonstrate ownership of IT systems and processes by taking responsibility for operational availability of a secure, effective, and reliable computing environment that meets or exceeds staff and business requirements.
• Follow emerging technologies, standards, and developments within the industry to assist in planning and purchases for increased system capacity to meet the needs of a company growing both in size and in technical needs.
• Continuously monitor and evaluate existing IT controls and procedures to ensure all risks are known and mitigated to an acceptable level in both production and non-production environments.
• Maintain systems and technology at or above industry standards. Perform regular maintenance and updates on company systems.
• Configure and maintain the organization's internal computer network, mainly Cisco Firewalls, Switches, and Spam filters.
• Proactively monitor server health in a production environment to ensure that any failure can be responded to quickly and with minimum downtime.
• Provide Tier 2 and 3 level user and hardware support of Windows-based network systems.
• Domestic travel required 35% of the time.

Qualifications

Education
Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Network Engineering, Information Technology, or in a closely related field.

Experience
Position also requires demonstrated knowledge of the following:
• Core IT infrastructure and systems including LAN/WAN networking including routers, switches, and firewalls, and SAN storage.
• Windows Server environment.
• VMWARE virtualization in server environment.
• Active Directory and GPO’s.
• O365 and SharePoint.
• Azure.
• Backup experience.
• Knowledge of enterprise anti-virus.
• Analyzing system logs.
• Provisioning and administration of Cloud environments, both IaaS and PaaS.
• Ability to work tasks with little supervision or assistance.
• Communication within a team environment.
