Torch Technologies is seeking a Model-Based Systems Engineer (MBSE) to support defining requirements, architecture, and data models for aviation programs Army PEO Aviation systems using a Modular Open Systems Approach (MOSA) and MBSE methodologies. This position supports PEO Aviation, PM Aviation Mission Systems and Architecture (AMSA).
Key Responsibilities
Support real-time embedded safety-critical systems and software development.
Leverage digital models to manage and analyze complex systems, ensuring requirements are met, and systems are designed and validated effectively.
Analyze compliance of Component Design Models (CDMs) with system specifications.
Be capable of translating requirements into acquisition strategies.
Apply Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) methods to perform requirements analysis, requirements definition, and requirements management.
Apply MBSE to perform functional analysis, performance analysis, and
Apply MBSE to support AMSA systems integration, test (verification), validation and the capture and decomposing of subsystem or system elements with the supervision and assistance from a team of Software/Systems architects.
Support effective transition of existing systems engineering and technical data packages (TDPs) from traditional document-based processes to reusable model-based artifacts.
Other duties as assigned.
BS in an engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university and 10+ years of engineering experience, including 2+ years with MBSE.
Proficiency in SysML, UML, DoDAF (UPDM/UAF).
Ability to interact effectively with government and contractor teams.
Experience applying MOSA in avionics or military systems.
Active DoD Secret Clearance.
Preferred Qualifications:
Masters degree in an engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university, and 8+ years of experience.
Understanding of Future Airborne Capability Environment (FACE).
Knowledge of safety standards (DO-178B/C, DO-254).
Understanding of Integrated Modular Avionics (DO-297, ARINC 653/661).
Familiarity with military open standards (FACE, HOST, SOSA, CMOSS
