
Finance Manager
Location: Bronx, NY
Status: Full-Time (In person)
Salary: $90,000- $100,000
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Finance Manager to lead our Finance Department under the supervision of the Senior Director of Finance. The ideal candidate will oversee key financial operations, including payroll, budgeting, and reporting, and manage the finance team to ensure CHCA's financial records align with generally accepted accounting principles (GAAP).
Key Responsibilities
- Financial Oversight: Manage accurate financial records, general ledger activities, and budgets while ensuring efficient resource allocation.
- Team Leadership: Supervise and support the Finance team, including Payroll, Senior Accountant, Accounts Payable, and the Schedule Verification Unit.
- Financial Planning & Analysis: Collaborate on budgets, forecasts, and cash flow projections. Conduct performance analyses and variance reporting.
- Operational Excellence: Partner with external stakeholders, monitor internal controls, and ensure timely billing and verification processes.
- Strategic Development: Set departmental goals, participate in organizational meetings, and foster a culture of respect and teamwork.
What We're Looking For
Qualifications
- College degree in Business, Accounting, or a related field.
- A minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting and payroll processing, preferably in healthcare or home care.
- At least 3 years of supervisory or management experience.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and financial accounting software (e.g., FUND-EZ, iSolve, HHA Exchange).
Skills & Abilities
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills; Spanish proficiency is a plus.
- Strong analytical and financial calculation skills.
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines effectively.
- A proactive and collaborative team player with strong problem-solving capabilities.
