Machinist Level 1

The successful candidate for the Machinist Level 1 position will run production on various production machines and perform offset changes as needed. 

 Required Skills and Abilities:

·       Operation of production machines following prints and specifications. Assigned machines may include lathes, mills, and similar equipment

·       Applies knowledge of mathematics and instruments to calculate dimensions and tolerances

·       Ability to utilize various mechanical measuring tools including Height gages, and micrometers etc.

·       Deburrs and cleans parts as needed

·       Inspects and measures completed production and fills out required paperwork

·       Maintains a safe and orderly production area

·       Performs other related duties as assigned

 Qualifications:

·       High school diploma or equivalent required

·       Basic math skills

·       Ability to quickly learn and take direction from others

·       Ability to keep a clean and organized work area

Physical Requirements:

• Physical ability to operate machines
• Prolonged periods of standing, walking, bending, and stretching
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
