ISG is seeking a full-time Database Administrator to join our team. You will be responsible for setting up, managing, and optimizing databases in support of Enterprise, Web, and Mobile applications. In this role, you will work closely with Eric Eby, Vice President, IT, along with fellow employee-owners across the firm.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Perform all aspects of relational database management for MS SQL and PostgreSQL
- Automate repetitive tasks using shell scripting
- Ensure the performance, security, and availability of databases
- Monitor database performance, implement changes, and apply new patches and versions when required
- Collaborate with developers to design and implement database schemas, queries, and stored procedures
- Troubleshoot database issues and provide technical support
- Document database configurations, policies, and procedures
- Other duties as assigned
QUALIFICATIONS
- Proven experience as a Database Administrator
- Experience with Microsoft SQL and PostgreSQL
- In-depth knowledge of database structure principles
- Experience working in a team environment
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Self-directed and can work independently with minimal supervision
- Demonstrated track record of successful past employment
- Valid driver’s license with good driving record
