SUMMARY: The role of the Sr. IT Project Manager is to plan, execute, and deliver projects to achieve return on investment, according to defined scope, schedule, budget, and quality specifications. This includes acquiring resources and coordinating the efforts of team members and consultants in order to deliver projects according to plan. This role will primarily be focused on implementing and enhancing commercial-off-the-shelf applications projects such as ERP, Construction Project and Service Management, CRM, HCM, and more. The successful candidate will also have strong business systems analysis skills with strength in business process optimization and business change management.
Essential Duties And Responsibilities
Strategy & Planning:
- Define project scope and deliverables that support business goals in collaboration with senior management and stakeholders.
- Effectively communicate project expectations to team members and stakeholders in a timely and clear fashion.
- Liaise with project stakeholders on an ongoing basis.
- Set and continually manage project expectations with team members and other stakeholders.
- Plan, schedule and track project timelines, milestones and deliverables using appropriate tools.
- Determine the frequency and content of status reports from the project team, analyze results, and troubleshoot problem areas.
- Define project success criteria and disseminate them to involved parties throughout project life cycle.
- Identify project lessons learned and create a recommendations report in order to identify successful and unsuccessful project elements.
- Develop best practices and tools for project execution and management.
Acquisition & Deployment
- Estimate the resources and participants needed to achieve project goals.
- Draft and submit budget proposals and recommend subsequent budget changes where necessary.
- Where required, negotiate with other department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within the company.
- Determine and assess need for additional staff and/or consultants and make the appropriate recruitment suggestions.
Operational Management
- Direct and manage project development from beginning to end.
- Develop full-scale project plans and associated communications documents.
- Delegate tasks and responsibilities to appropriate personnel.
- Identify and resolve issues and conflicts within the project team.
- Identify and manage project dependencies and critical path.
- Develop and deliver progress reports, proposals, requirements documentation, and presentations.
- Proactively manage changes in project scope, identify potential crises, and devise contingency plans.
- Coach, mentor, motivate and supervise project team members, and influence them to take positive action and accountability for their assigned work.
- Build, develop, and grow any business relationships vital to the success of the project.
Experience, Education
- Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Project Management, or related degree
- Certifications: Project Management Professional certification strongly desired, Business Systems Analysis and/or Lean Six Sigma a plus
- 5+ years direct work experience in a project management capacity, including all aspects of process development and execution
- Strong familiarity with project management software
- Competent and proficient understanding of platforms, such as enterprise resource planning (ERP), customer resource management (CRM), construction project management, warehouse management (WMS), human capital management (HCM), and more
- Familiarity with the construction industry, specifically in the specialty sub-contractor space, a plus
- Familiarity with Spectrum ERP, Procore construction project management, Salesforce.com, and other systems a plus
- Demonstrated experience in personnel management

The starting salary for this opportunity range is listed. Other rewards may include annual bonus eligibility based on company and individual performance, short- and long-term incentives, and program-specific awards.
