Job Title: Estimating Administrator


Job Summary:

The Estimating Administrator is responsible for providing administrative support to the Estimating team. The position also performs a variety of clerical duties to support the business as needed.


Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Assist with meeting set-up, scheduling, and communication.
  • Assist in bid setup, coordination, scheduling, and results tracking.
  • Maintain project resumes and field employee resumes as needed for proposal requirements.
  • Project setup and coding, contracts, bonds, and insurance as required.
  • Project change orders, job request for proposals set up, preparation, and tracking.
  • Navigate to and download plans from TxDOT, NTTA, municipalities, etc.
  • Perform, organize, and streamline operational support documents and tasks.
  • Assist with slide presentations for executive meetings.
  • Create and maintain detailed spreadsheets for various activities in the department.
  • Order plans as needed for the Project Managers.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications and Skills:

  • A successful candidate must have prior experience working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Advanced skills in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook and Adobe Acrobat are required.
  • This role requires exceptional time management skills as well as the ability to prioritize workload.
  • Must be a detail-oriented and a go-getter who can work independently.
  • Self-starter, problem solver and able to assess situations and react accordingly.
  • Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to develop a high level of personal credibility with employees and management.
  • Must be able to handle sensitive/confidential information and situations with high ethics, confidentiality, diplomacy, patience and tact.
  • BS degree preferred.
  • Notary public a plus.
