As a team player, you’ll be responsible for executing media buys that align with our clients’ goals, negotiating with vendors to secure efficient and effective placements, and optimizing campaigns for maximum impact. Duties and Responsibilities
- Understand buying process and implement media buys, including creating and managing insertion orders with vendors and collecting and maintaining order confirmations.
- Coordinate with vendors to ensure assets are developed to advertisement specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers and Creative Studio on creative asset needs, including specifications and deadlines.
- Create traffic instructions and traffic creative assets prior to start of advertising campaign.
- Coordinate and manage communications with media vendors on orders, creative assets/materials, proof of performance, and media vendor invoices.
- Review and reconcile media vendor invoices for accuracy and verification.
- Resolve media vendor invoice discrepancies and negotiate makegoods.
- Update and maintain internal traffic (Teams calendar and tasks) to ensure all ads are on schedule and trafficked by their respective deadlines.
- Update and maintain media contact lists.
- Develop, nurture, and maintain ongoing relationships with media vendors.
- Compile research and support media planning team as needed.
- Manage post campaign data collection and develop recap.
Experience/Education
- 3-5 years of experience in advertising/media buying.
- 3-5 years budget, data, and task management.
- 3-5 years working within and effectively navigating the media buying process.
- 3-5 years of negotiations with media vendors or equivalent.
- Working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Google Ads, Meta Business/Ads Manager, LinkedIn Business/Ads Manager, Spotify Ads Manager, and programmatic platforms.
Skills Required
- Analytical and project management skills: Ability to interpret media metrics (CPM, CTR, GRPs, impressions) and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Working knowledge of media analytics (e.g. Comscore, Nielsen).
- Strong critical thinking skills.
- Strong attention to detail, organizational, and time management skills
- Excellent numerical and data management skills.
- Understanding of media metrics, including media ratings, and media audiences.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Technical proficiency with an aptitude for MS Teams and MS Office Suite
- Intermediate technical proficiency and aptitude in Excel (including basic navigation, basic formulas, data entry, data analysis tools and charts, cell and spreadsheet formatting)
- Ability to multi-task, work under pressure to meet deadlines, and thrive in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent people and relationship-building skills with the ability to develop a strong and trustworthy relationship with internal teams and media vendors.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to maintain a positive attitude under pressure.
Utilization/Billability Goal
In this role, your time will be spent working on projects and billing your time to clients. Most of our staff spend between 75% to 90% of their time during the week on projects. The rest of your time would be billed to the company to complete company activities, engage in business development, attend company events, and participate in growth and development opportunities. The annual billable utilization goal for this position is 90%. Our staff track and report their time spent on projects and company activities each week.
Compensation
The full salary range for this position is $45 - $50 per hour, depending on experience. This position is a 'bench' position, meaning it is part-time and not eligible for benefits. Hours are based on project needs and are variable, between 0-20 hours per week.
