Location: Mostly remote, but must reside in CT
Salary: $150-170k + bonus

Reporting to the VP of FP&A, this individual will oversee accounting operations, lead the monthly close process, manage external audits, and contribute to forecasting and planning. The ideal candidate brings a CPA, public accounting foundation, and private industry experience—and thrives in a fast-paced environment. This is a hybrid work model and the company is based in Fairfield County, Connecticut.

Key Responsibilities
- Oversee all accounting functions including payroll, tax provision calculations, invoicing, balance sheet and cash flow development, and month-end close.
- Lead the monthly and annual close process to ensure timely and accurate financial reporting.
- Manage and coordinate annual external audits, acting as the primary contact for external auditors and tax advisors.
- Drive improvements in accounting operations, reporting accuracy, and close efficiency.
- Support budgeting and forecasting activities across multiple entities, and deliver meaningful financial insights to operational leaders.
- Develop, refine, and distribute monthly financial reports and analysis.
- Ensure multi-entity consolidation and compliance with US GAAP.
- Lead cash flow planning, budgeting cycles, and long-term forecasting efforts.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to implement effective financial tools, processes, and reporting systems.
- Strengthen internal controls and support strategic initiatives led by the VP of FP&A.
Qualifications
- 10+ years of progressive experience in accounting and finance, including 5+ years in a leadership role.
- CPA required.
- Public accounting experience required.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance; MBA preferred.
- Strong knowledge of US GAAP and technical accounting.
- Proven experience with audits, team leadership, and financial reporting (including multi-entity consolidation).
- Advanced Excel skills and proficiency in PowerPoint and other Microsoft Office tools.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present to senior leadership.
- Highly detail-oriented, organized, and self-motivated.
- Able to work cross-functionally and prioritize in a dynamic environment.
