Litehouse Foods is seeking a passionate and motivated Maintenance Planner to join our team!

The Maintenance Planner is responsible for developing and implementing plans and programs for routine preventative maintenance and scheduled turnaround events at a plant or production facility. This role involves accurately defining and estimating work requests, maintaining a consistent tracking system for work orders, and developing inspection and survey procedures to ensure an effective preventative maintenance system. The Maintenance Planner collaborates closely with technicians, engineers, operations personnel, and managers to establish a schedule of proactive maintenance activities during appropriate downtime. Utilizing planning and scheduling methods, the Maintenance Planner ensures the most effective and least disruptive maintenance possible. The role also involves using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking and planning maintenance activities and monitoring spare parts inventory to ensure the availability of required parts.

What you will do

Develop and implement detailed plans and schedules for routine preventative maintenance to ensure the continuous and efficient operation of plant equipment and systems.
Accurately define, estimate, and prioritize work requests, ensuring timely and effective maintenance operations, and maintain a consistent tracking system for all work orders.
Develop and implement inspection and survey procedures to support an effective preventative maintenance system, identifying potential issues before they become critical.
Collaborate closely with technicians, engineers, operations personnel, and managers to establish a proactive maintenance schedule that aligns with production downtime and minimizes disruptions.
Utilize a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking, planning, and documenting all maintenance activities, ensuring accurate and up-to-date information is maintained.
Monitor and manage spare parts inventory to ensure the availability of required parts for maintenance activities, coordinating with procurement to reorder parts as necessary.
Identify opportunities for improving maintenance processes and procedures, implementing best practices to enhance maintenance efficiency and effectiveness.

Qualifications

Associate's Degree in a relevant field such as Industrial Maintenance, Mechanical Engineering Technology, Electrical Engineering Technology, or a related discipline or High School Diploma with prior experience in maintenance planning, preferably in a plant or production facility, may be considered in lieu of formal education requirements
2 years experience as a maintenance mechanic or electrician in an industrial food manufacturing environment
At least 1 year experience maintenance planning or scheduling in a maintenance department with demonstrated proficiency in using a computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) for tracking, planning, and documenting maintenance activities.
Previous experience monitoring and managing spare parts inventory, ensuring the availability of required parts and coordinating with procurement for timely reordering.
