MSA has a new opportunity for a Project Manager - Transportation (Roads) in our Cedar Rapids, IA office.

This dynamic role involves supporting project teams in various construction services, managing a wide range of complex infrastructure projects, and mentoring field staff to ensure timely project completion.

Responsibilities

WHAT YOU WILL DO

Communicate with internal and external clients in support of existing projects and the development of new projects
Provide oversight and guidance to less experienced colleagues in the field and provides constructability feedback and guidance to project design team.
Regularly interact in a professional manner with the Public on project related issues.
Perform marketing and business development in partnership with Team Leader, Client Liaisons, and Client Service Managers.
Assesses Scope and Capabilities of the project, prepare Project Management Plan, QA/QC Plan and other plans necessary for successful project completion.
Communicate via meetings, emails and other documentations to all stakeholders.
Lead, oversee and/or perform construction layout staking services and/or survey layout services.
Ensure delivery on all commitments, conduct quality reviews, and utilize a process/checklist for closeout.
Track budget and review invoices.

Qualifications

WHAT YOU BRING

High School diploma required
Associates in Civil, Environmental, or Architectural Engineering Technology or related degree preferred
6+ years of relevant work experience with survey equipment for data collection, layout and with construction related services.
Professional licensure or project management/business/construction management preferred.
Strong initiative to complete projects on time.
Proven skills in empathetic communication, crucial conversations and effective mentoring of team.
Top notch negotiating skills.
Ability to excel independently and within a team-based environment.
GIS, CADD and various proprietary and commercially available software experience required
Survey equipment and various field-testing equipment experience required.
