Responsible for the night operation of the grocery store and workers. Checking out groceries, bagging items, accepting payment and making change. Working merchandise to shelves, pulling orders, and facing the store shelves.. Occasionally assisting customers to their vehicles with groceries.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

A commitment to high standards.
Use of fingers, hands and arms.
Use a 10 key calculator.
Use basic math and calculate retail pricing.
Establishes relationships with customers, suppliers and conducts company business in an ethical manner.
Conscious of job principles, facts, procedures, and policy.
Effectively direct and control work in area of responsibility.
The ability to support and encourage employees, and help them with their job.
Has leadership capabilities, gaining their support.
To have the ability to train employees in their jobs.
To understand the duties and responsibilities of all departments, such as Meat, Bakery/Deli and Produce Dept.
Establishes good communication with store manager and other key carriers.
An ability to exercise good judgement.
Desire the knowledge of store manager.
Confrontational skills.
Good planning and organizational skills.
Skills in problem solving and analysis.
An ability to control expenses.
A commitment to follow-up procedures. This include observing, monitoring and evaluating.
