Summary Under the direction of the Sr. Manufacturing Engineer Manager, the Quality Manager coordinates, implements, and manages the quality assurance function to the requirements of current ISO and ASME Standards. Key Responsibilities This list of duties and responsibilities is not all-inclusive and may be expanded to include other duties and responsibilities as management may deem necessary from time to time. Lead the quality assurance team to ensure the meeting or exceeding of quality standards. Establish and implement quality procedures and specifications, testing procedures, and standards for raw materials and for in-process and finished products. Audit quality systems, initiating corrective action as required. Develop and recommend inspection and sampling techniques and quality assurance plans. Develop process control procedures ensuring production of finished products meeting quality specifications and standards. Develop training requirements and train employees on quality related practices, policies, procedures, and systems. Produce quality reports; analyze information, and address and resolve problem areas. Develop and lead cross-functional teams to address and resolve quality issues and to improve levels of quality and productivity. Provide technical assistance to customers, vendors, and other departments of the company. Conduct research on product defects and recommend modifications to the production process where warranted. Review all complaints received from customers to determine corrective action. Develop and maintain departmental budget; ensure maximum utilization of resources within budget constraints. Ensure compliance with UL, NSF, DOE standards Ensure compliance with all housekeeping procedures and all quality and safety regulations. Perform other related duties as assigned. Education and Experience A bachelor's degree in a relevant field or a combination of education and experience may be considered. Five (5) to seven (7) years of supervisory experience Five (5) to seven (7) years of related quality management experience Experience in Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP) and Production Part Approval Process (PPAP). Knowledge of ISO 9001 requirements preferred The ability to read and interpret part prints and GD&T.- Geometric Dimension and Tolerancing The ability to write reports and correspondence. The ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from management, customers, vendors and other employees of the organization. The ability to work with mathematical concepts such as probability and statistical inference, and fundamentals of plane and solid geometry and trigonometry. The ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations. The ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. The ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form. Physical Requirements The ability to talk or hear. The ability to sit for extended periods of time. The ability to stand, walk; and use hands to finger, handle, or touch objects or controls. The ability to occasionally lift and/or move physical products, reports, files, etc. The ability to use close vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus.
