Dexter Laundry is a place where people take pride in building products that last. We design and manufacture commercial washers and dryers used around the world, and we do it with a culture built on teamwork, accountability, and genuine care for one another.
As our controls and user‑interface technology continues to grow, we’re looking for someone who enjoys rolling up their sleeves, learning new things, and being part of a team that solves problems together. If you like variety in your day, enjoy working with electronics, and want to contribute to something meaningful, this role is a great fit.
What You’ll Do
- Test embedded system software in our engineering lab and clearly document your findings.
- Support production by troubleshooting and repairing PCB assemblies, wire harnesses, and control components — helping keep our factory running smoothly.
- Work side‑by‑side with engineers to integrate embedded systems, hardware, and software into our commercial appliances.
- Occasionally travel to customer sites to help diagnose issues and support field testing.
- Partner with supply chain and vendors to address design questions, quality improvements, and component changes.
- Communicate with customers when field issues arise, helping us understand the root cause and improve our products.
- Take on additional responsibilities as needed — we’re a team that steps in for each other.
- Contribute to a positive, healthy workplace and take ownership of your work and results.
What Helps You Succeed
We value skill, curiosity, and willingness to learn, whether you gained your experience through school, work, or hands‑on projects.
- Technical training, trade school, or hands‑on experience with electrical or electronic systems.
- Familiarity with Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and AutoCAD (or the desire to learn).
- Basic understanding of low‑voltage power systems (1PH, 50/60Hz, up to 240VAC).
- Interest or experience in circuit boards, electronics assembly, or troubleshooting.
- Strong communication skills — we work closely across departments and with external partners.
- A problem‑solver who can evaluate information, think critically, and make sound recommendations.
- Organized, self‑motivated, and comfortable juggling multiple tasks in a fast‑moving environment.
Physical & Work Environment Expectations
- Ability to sit, stand, walk, reach, and handle components as needed.
- Occasionally lift or move up to 50 pounds.
- Use of close, distance, color, and depth‑perception vision.
- Light to moderate noise environment.
- Less than 5% travel.
