WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
The Shipping and Receiving Coordinator oversees daily inbound and outbound shipping activities, ensuring accurate documentation, proper handling, and timely distribution of inbound products and supplies and finished goods to customers. This role ensures inventory accuracy, compliance with company procedures, and efficient communication with carriers, vendors, and internal teams to support smooth warehouse and logistics operations.

- Schedule pick-up appointments or outbound and inbound shipments by phone or e-mail.
- Checks drivers in and out and verifies proper identification; assigns to pick up locations;
- Prints bill of ladings for shipping orders.
- Tracks order changes and cancellations.
- Scans and files orders.
- Prepares UPS shipments; selects appropriate shipping containers and packing material.
- Is trained in all functions and acts as a back up to Shipping and Receiving Lead.
- Performs load checks as necessary.
- Processes RMA’s, including inventory counts and inventory adjustments.
- Logs quantities staged for loads.
- During downtime, ensures the cleanliness of the work area and/or assist other shipping and receiving employee owners.
- Effectively communicate necessary and/or critical information regarding inbound and outbound shipments to Plant leadership regarding shipments
- Effectively communicate with carriers and internal TBC departments.
- Comply with company safety policies and maintain clean and orderly work area.
- Comply with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and Safe Quality Food (SQF) procedures including timely and accurate documentation of required SQF forms.
- Performs other duties assigned by management.
This is a Monday - Friday 7am - 3:30pm schedule.
WHAT WE NEED
MUST-HAVES:·High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year of experience in a warehouse environment.
- Ability to accurately sort, count, and verify items received.
- Basic understanding of railway, dock, and warehouse procedures.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills both in oral and written form.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively and respectfully communicate to co-workers, supervisory and management staff and all other levels of personnel within the organization, including outside vendors and carriers.
- Ability to work well with all levels of employees whether individually or in a team environment.
- Flexibility to accommodate unscheduled changes in duties and work overtime as needed.
- Self-motivated and responsible.
- Good math skills.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and inventory software to maintain records, input data, and create reports.
NICE-TO-HAVES:
- Experience proficiently and safely operating forklifts preferred.
- One year of administrative experience preferred.
WORK CONDITIONS & PHYSICAL ENVIRONMENT
- The physical environment requires the use of general office equipment (computer, printer, scanner).
- Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds at times.
- Requires moving/walking, standing for prolonged periods of time.
- May require bending, stooping, and reaching.
- Requires eye-hand coordination and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, calculator, phone, and other small devices.
- Occasionally exposed to a non-climate-controlled environment.
- Occasionally exposed to dust and loud noise.
- Occasionally exposed to machinery and mechanical, moving parts.
- Personal protective equipment, such as hearing protection, safety glasses, hair net, and food safety-related items, is required.
