Work Model: Hybrid 2-3 days, New Haven County

Key Responsibilities
- Lead post-award financial management, analysis, and reporting for a large and complex sponsored research portfolio
- Provide strategic recommendations to faculty and leadership based on financial trends, funding activity, and risk assessment
- Ensure compliance with institutional policies and sponsor regulations; review and approve expenditures
- Interpret sponsor terms and conditions; manage award setup, modifications, extensions, and closeout
- Support proposal development through financial planning and coordination with pre-award partners
- Collaborate with internal offices, external institutions, and sponsoring agencies to ensure effective fund management
- Prepare research administration data, reports, and presentations for senior leadership
- Represent the organization at internal and external research administration meetings and professional forums
- Oversee financial and administrative aspects of specialized research initiatives and donor-funded programs
Qualifications
- Demonstrated grant accounting experience, ideally in post-award research administration or sponsored research finance
- Ability to manage multiple, complex awards with varying funding structures and sponsor requirements
- Strong understanding of compliance, policy interpretation, and financial controls
- Highly analytical, detail-oriented, and comfortable advising senior stakeholders
- Excellent leadership and communication skills with a collaborative approach
