Power Drive Transmission – JCC MACHINIST

Job Overview: Machinists perform all the machining operations needed to complete a project. Some light duty lifting required and using a hoist to install vises, jigs, fixtures, and heavy work pieces onto the mill or lathe for machining. Use precision measuring equipment with both hands to accurately machine parts. Operating the controls of the mill or lathe with both hands to remove material from parts in conjunction with the specs and accuracy required for specific job. Check the lubricating fluid and fill as necessary. Clean the mill and lathe work area as needed and at the end of each shift. Prior Lathe or Milling experience preferred. Must be able to use micrometers, calipers, and t-gauges bench and disc sanders.

Schedule:

Monday - Friday 6:30am-3:00pm
Overtime available

Qualifications

The ability to lift, bend, push, pull and move materials up to 50lbs.
The ability to stand or walk an entire shift (can be approx... 8-10 hours)
The ability to use handheld tools such as Hammers, Screwdrivers, Wrenches, Tape Measures, Micrometers, Calipers, Etc.
Standing: Continuously
Walking: Continuously
Sitting: Occasionally
Stooping (forward leaning): Occasionally.
Reaching/Working Overhead: Occasionally.

Salary and Benefits:

Starting rate $20.00 + based on experience.
