JOB DESCRIPTION:
Mixes ingredients for cakes, bakes and remove cakes from oven. Cuts cakes to required sizes, mixes frostings, frosts and decorates cakes, cleans up work area, will also assist with customer service at the counter if needed.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Use hand, arms, and fingers to handle tools or operate equipment.
- Work in a standing position from 4-8 hours a day.
- Lift and handle ingredient bags and products.
- Use basic math to measure and estimate material quantities.
- Bake products to required specifications.
- Mix frostings, decorate cakes, cookies, cupcakes in a creative manner.
- Keep work station clean and sanitary.
- Display cakes, cream pies, cream puffs, cream horns etc, in display cases, on tables etc.,
- Take customer orders for special cakes, wedding cakes, special requests, etc.
DESIRED, NON-ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
- Bake products to required specifications.
- Stock display tables, cases, etc.
- Receive money and make change.
