Description
ESSENTIAL DUTIES
- Coordinate procurement, Contracting Requirements, and General Requirements with Project Manager.
- Work with Architects/Designers/Technicians to identify required project Specification Sections for Division 00-14. Identify where additional product info is necessary.
- Work with Architects/Designers/Technicians to assemble product info for required specifications. Review Architectural and Structural Drawings and provide comments and redlines as necessary. Complete Specifications for Divisions 00-14.
- Coordinate and update Table of Contents for all specification divisions. Combine final specifications manual after project completion.
- Printing and assembling of all specifications sections. Set up and upload bidding documents to QuestCDN.
- E-mail each project Advertisement for Bids to the Builders Exchanges. Assist during bidding and construction administration when necessary.
- Assist with submittals like product substitutions and shop drawings when necessary. Archive Speclink Projects Older Than 3-6 Months.
- Review and maintain Master Specifications.
- Review and maintain Project/Owner/State/etc. specific Word Document checklists. Review and incorporate past project specifications into master specifications.
- Maintain weekly updated Specification project list. Maintain a list of past used Specification sections. Manage Speclink links for user added content.
- Manage, maintain, and archive project related e-mails. Stay relevant with current codes and standards.
- Take general calls from product reps in regards to products and specifications.
QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of experience in an Architectural/Engineering firm, though able to conform to ISG standards. Experience in the construction industry.
- Knowledge of architectural and structural products. Familiar with AIA documents.
- Experience in writing specifications but not required.
- Skilled computer operator, specifically Microsoft Office, Speclink-E, Adobe Acrobat, Bluebeam
- Internet navigation skills for researching products, manufacturers, codes & standards, and rules & regulations as related to writing specifications.
