Job Summary
We are seeking a temporary, part‑time Clerical Assistant to support our team during the high‑volume renewal season. This role runs from May 11th through mid‑August/September and is ideal for a college student home for the summer or anyone looking for consistent part‑time administrative work.
This individual will assist with the daily receipt and processing of renewal packet submissions, including opening mail, sorting documents, checking in materials, scanning, filing, and distributing items to appropriate team members. Additional responsibilities include data entry, document organization, and general clerical support to help maintain an efficient workflow during this seasonal period.
Responsibilities
- Receive, open, sort, and distribute incoming renewal packet submissions
- Check in renewal documents and ensure all required materials are accounted for
- Scan, index, and electronically file documents with accuracy and attention to detail
- Maintain organized filing systems—both physical and digital
- Perform daily data entry tasks to support the renewal processing workflow
- Assist with general clerical duties including copying, labeling, and document preparation
- Operate standard office equipment such as scanners, copiers, and printers
- Maintain confidentiality while handling sensitive or proprietary information
- Prioritize daily tasks to ensure timely completion within a consistent schedule
- Work independently with minimal supervision while supporting team needs
- Communicate effectively with internal staff regarding document status or missing information
- Provide support to the department during high‑volume periods as assigned
Qualifications
Required:
- Ability to work a consistent 3.75‑hour schedule Monday through Friday
- Strong attention to detail for sorting, scanning, and filing documents
- Comfortable performing repetitive clerical tasks with accuracy
- Ability to operate basic office equipment (scanner, copier, computer)
- Organizational skills and the ability to prioritize tasks
- Reliable, dependable attendance
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and professionalism
Nice to Have:
- Prior clerical, administrative, or office experience
- Data entry experience
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Comfort working in a fast‑paced environment

Compensation & Compliance
The posted salary reflects CCMSI’s good-faith estimate in accordance with applicable pay transparency laws. Actual compensation will be based on qualifications, experience, geographic location, and internal equity. This role may also qualify for bonuses or additional forms of pay.
