Additional Compensation Details:
- $80k - $90k salary - Dependent on Experience and Location of Role
- Shift 8pm-4:30am, over time available!
- Potential 90-day performance-based raise
- Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure
Responsibilities
The Role
Our transportation supervisors are responsible for coordinating the daily operations of our department. Providing support, direction, and training to drivers are the essential job functions to ensure our success each day. Supervisors uphold company safety standards, compliance, and standards of conduct while maintaining efficiency of processes in a fast-paced team environment.
Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To
- Plan manpower needs and schedule drivers and support personnel.
- Manage daily driver adjustments and reschedule for absent/sick drivers
- Driver performance management and reviews
- New driver onboarding and training management
- Route management – fixed route maintenance, territory planning and same day adjustments
- Route tracking review through TMS reporting to ensure sequencing and flow are optimal
- Daily communication with drivers to help overcome obstacles and delays
- Coordinate back hauls and pick-ups
- Collaborate with Operations team to coordinate and adjust daily workflows as needed
- Ensure drivers are trained on equipment and fill out daily VIR’s
- Coordinate maintenance and repair schedules with truck shop
- Adhere to DOT rules and regulations
- Perform other related and assigned duties as necessary
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- 3+ years of experience in transportation supervision or similar lead role
- Proficient knowledge and understanding of DOT rules and regulations
- Extensive knowledge of Western Washington roads and highways for route planning and support
- Current CDL and no disqualifying violations on MVR
- Must be able to read, write, and speak English fluently.
- Intermediate Word and Excel skills for correspondence and reporting duties
- Intermediate MS Outlook skills for regular daily communication with coworkers and departments
- Intermediate verbal and written communication skills.
- Willingness to be flexible with schedule start and end times
- Be open and honest with team and manager on all levels
- Desire to learn, grow, and build your capacity to improve yourself and your team
- An honest desire to help others achieve success through your coaching and support
Preferred Skills and Experience
- Valid medical card.
- Bi-lingual Spanish/English, or Mandarin/English
