AVIAN is seeking an experienced Model-Based Systems Engineer to provide support to a program office.

Responsibilities
Our ideal candidate can:
- Develop design models utilizing model-based engineering tools and practices to support enterprise systems engineering activities.
- Able to work with existing design models. Coordinate and oversee OEM modeling efforts.
- Trace related analytic models and results to enterprise tools supporting requirements definition, CONOPS development, architecture design, risk analysis, scheduling, change requests and verification, validation, and test.
- Support the execution of an advanced research and development program in system engineering/digital engineering.
- Support the engineering team to establish and manage digital representations of the weapon system's technical baselines.
- Guide the analysis and synthesis of Requirements, Interfaces, Behavior, Structure and Parametrics (RIBS-P) across the weapon system's technical baselines, utilizing Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE)/SysML and various modeling and simulation tools.
- Provide support in establishing the foundation of a digital engineering environment across various tools and classification levels in support of program priorities.
- Guide and manage the implementation of the necessary methods, processes. tools. training, and network data transfers to establish an efficient, synchronized. and cohesive digital engineering environment across Government and Industry reconciled against the authoritative source of truth.
- Perform the following using MBSE tools/methods: requirements analysis/synthesis. requirements definition and management, functional analysis, performance analysis, system design and trade study analysis, system integration and verification modeling. and overall model of models validation.
- Provide support in establishing a technical foundation to create on-ramps to rapidly integrate new capabilities, develop program descriptions/plans, and establish integrated roadmaps in support of program priorities.
- Guide the development of the necessary model views required to obtain Government SME and stakeholder concurrence on technical baseline content to place under change and version control.
- Coordinate definition, review. and approval of system design feature attributes across the engineering team.
- Provide suppor1 for the engineering team with model-based evaluations of system designs as required.
- Travel (20%) is required for this position.
Qualifications
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree in science, engineering, math, computer science, or other technical discipline
- Masters or PhD in Engineering from an accredited college or university. Experience cannot be substituted for education for senior level position.
- Candidates must have at least ten years of experience in Digital Engineering and MBSE for senior level and 7 years for mid-level.
- Broad Systems Engineering experience with Model-Based Engineering applications and technology
- Intermediate/advanced knowledge and experience with SysML, or UML for behavior modeling and simulation
- Experience with CAMEO systems modeler or MagicDraw collaborative software applications
- Must be a U.S. citizen with active TS clearance and capable of receiving TS/SCI clearance.
