Overview
AVIAN is in search of a Project Test Engineer (Engineer, Journey) to support the test and evaluation of multiple unmanned platforms and capabilities. Responsibilities
- Work with UX-24 on a variety of UAS, often with quick response tasking allowing teams to conduct "cradle to deployment" testing in as little as a couple of months.
- Work with high op tempo teams, on various technologies supporting multiple mission areas.
- Primary tasking will include planning, execution, data analysis, and reporting of test results in support of mission effectiveness.
- Projects may include electronic warfare, radar, and EO/IR based geolocation, tracking, and mitigation technologies to defeat a UAS threat.
- Projects may also include manual and fire control solution driven kinetics (guns, propelled nets, and other UAS).
- Knowledge and experience with Naval Test Wing, Atlantic test and evaluation process, sound test engineering, and leading detachments and working directly with operators/commanding officers in the field is desired.
Qualifications
- Minimum of five years’ professional engineering experience that has consisted of performing the foregoing engineering listed by number below, and at least 3 years of the total experience performing engineering functions with respect to support, research or development of mechanical, electrical, or aerospace systems.

Solid foundation in physics
Well-versed in MATLAB
Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in an engineering discipline, with preference for electrical engineering, aerospace engineering and physics.
- Must be a U.S. Citizen and eligible for a SECRET Clearance (current active clearance is desired)
