Miklos Systems, Inc. is an Employee-Owned company providing software and systems engineering services to customers, primarily in the Federal Government. Our value to customers is our expertise in building, delivering, and supporting solutions using a disciplined, engineering-based agile approach.

We are currently adding Software Developers to our team to support multiple projects as our customers refactor their custom software applications to the AWS cloud. Our approach uses a micro-services architecture combined with our deep understanding of the business area to provide rapidly build and deploy solutions.

We’re looking for Java and web developers who are interested in expanding their skills to include micro-services architecture and cloud design, development, and deployment. This is a unique opportunity to join an established team of experienced engineers as we transform our customer’s applications using the next generation of enterprise class software solutions. This is a long-term, mission-critical effort that will be performed onsite at our customer locations in the Chantilly/Reston/Herndon Virginia area.

We are seeking candidates at the following levels:

• Junior level with 2 to 3 years of overall software development experience
• Mid level with 4 to 7 years of overall software development experience
• Senior level with 8+ years of overall software development experience
• Active TS/SCI clearance with polygraph is required. 

Experience with the following desired:

• Programming languages such as Java, C, C++, or RoR
• User interfaces tools such as ExtJS or JQuery/Bootstrap, React, Angular, Ember, Polymer, or Vue.js
• Developing with Oracle or similar RDMS including a proficiency with SQL
• Working with Agile software development methodologies
• Deploying and supporting software on a UNIX/Linux and/or AWS hosting platform
• Working in a DevOps environment using tools such as Jenkins, GitLab, SonarQube, Docker
• Bachelors degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline. Equivalent years of related experience may be substituted for the degree requirement.

Experience with the following is preferred:

• Decomposing software applications into a MicroServices architecture
• Designing and building applications using AWS cloud tools
• Developing web service interfaces using SOAP or REST
