Job Description
Procurement Engineering Technician will be assisting Procurement Engineers (Supplier Quality Engineers and Component Engineers) in handling day-to-day tasks such as incoming raw materials check, production support, improvement of suppliers' quality & performance and general quality of raw materials to ensure NI can continuously ship products.
Roles and Responsibilities
- Responsible for providing technical support to incoming inspection inspectors or receiving operators if there are issues or questions related to incoming raw material.
- Attend to production's requests such as issues arising from production, which are related to raw material. Support including investigation on issues from SMT, Wave and Back End Assembly Process.
- Assist Procurement Engineers (Supplier Quality Engineers and Component Engineers) to carry out tasks such as evaluation, review of parts in Material Review Board (MRB), inspections of part and so on.
- Coordinate with suppliers and internal teams to clarify technical specifications, resolve discrepancies, and follow up on delivery progress.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives related to procurement processes, cost optimization, and supplier quality enhancement.
- Compile and publish departmental reports to track action items and KPIs
Qualification:
- 1-2 years’ experience in general knowledge of manufacturing operations (from Incoming, SMT, Wave to Back End Assembly). Fresh graduates are welcomed.
- Able to read and interpret engineering drawing and datasheet.
- Good level of understanding on Microsoft office tools - Word, Excel, Outlook, Teams, PowerBI.
- Diploma in Engineering field, preferably in Electrical & Electronic Engineering.
