Health WoRx: Registered Nurse (PRN)
Health WoRx is currently seeking a PRN Registered Nurse to join their team in supporting health and wellness needs. Health WoRx offers health and wellness services to Jasper Engines & Transmissions Associates and their family members in an onsite, first-class facility.
Job Summary: The nurse is responsible for taking patient history and preparing patients from children to the elderly, for examination as well as assisting with the exam or procedure as requested by the Provider. Tasks include supporting administrative duties such as checking patients in and out, running financial reports, answering phones, scheduling, and statistical data tracking. Triage of patients based on complaint(s) is key.

Schedule: PRN – cover vacations, illness, and any other potential schedule needs
Qualifications:
Education: Must have successfully completed an accredited nursing program and have recent experience, preferably including experience in a physician office/outpatient clinic. Current Registered Nurse Indiana Licensure required.
Performance Requirements & Responsibilities:
- Coordinates medical functions for provider in the practice.
- Assist patients to exam rooms, take medical histories, vital signs, assistance with exams/procedures, maintain/ordering stock in exam rooms and medical supply inventories, schedule procedures/surgeries and obtain pre-certification as necessary.
- Responsible for cleaning treatment rooms between patients and at the end of the day and perform the proper cleaning and storage of all equipment used in patients’ treatment.
- Responsible for the disposal of all toxic waste in accordance with local, state, and federal guidelines.
- Responsible for medication, the proper recording and distribution of such medication.
- Both internal and external personal contacts made on an ongoing basis, with excellent interpersonal skills/relationships a must.
- Assist with health screens which consist of vital signs, blood draws, and coaching (face to face or phone coaching).
- In some cases, little supervision is given, requiring routine decision making.
- Dependability, flexibility, independent thinking, confidentiality, and problem solving are essential.
- Familiarity with electronic medical records and Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint is preferred.
Special Requirements:
Internal contacts with staff, patients and family members. External contacts with other providers, their office personnel, hospital staff, insurance companies, as well as patients and their families. Tactfulness, judgment, courteousness, patience, positive attitude, and the ability to work cooperatively with others is required on an ongoing basis to adequately perform in this position. Maintains confidentiality, discusses patient data or other related work information only with authorized personnel or provider in appropriate settings. Responsible for participation and compliance of departmental customer service plan and goals. Each and every patient is treated with respect; due to being an onsite facility, confidentiality is at a heightened awareness.
Physical Demands:
Requires full range of body motion including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Requires standing and walking for extensive periods of time. Requires corrected vision and hearing to normal range. Requires working under stressful conditions at times and must be flexible for schedule adjustments as needed. Requires exposure to communicable diseases, toxic chemicals and/or fumes, and potentially dangerous body fluids.
