Additional Compensation Details:
- $85k-$115k annually Dependent on Experience and Location of Role
- Potential 90-day performance-based raise
- Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure
Responsibilities
The Role
You will be using your business and HR skills to work with leaders and employees at all levels of the Company to help set strategy, lead change, and drive employee engagement. This is a hands-on management role that will work across multiple functional areas and support all areas of HR program delivery employee relations, compliance, benefits, organizational development and training, and organizational design. This position is a member of Seattle Sr. Staff. The Sr. HR Business Partner will lead and support both site-specific and company-wide HR initiatives and projects. Employee division count is 650-700 employees, this position reports to Corporate HR Director and the Division President.
The HR Business Partner is expected to make sound recommendations, generate effective and innovative ideas and solutions to problems; offers options to achieve desired results and help staff evaluate alternatives that will mitigate risk when dealing with sensitive situations.
Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To:
- Partner with Sr. staff on: strategic staffing needs, employee engagement programs,s pecial events, policy and procedure roll out
- Employee relations: investigations, advise on disciplinary action, assist in crafting PIP’s, work with management team on employee issues and concerns
- Ability to build complex HR systems and policies by pulling from experience and HR technical skills
- Manage a team of hourly HR / Admin team members
- Provide mentorship and training to new managers and supervisors in the division
- Work with the Safety Department on division safety protocol and workers comp investigations
- Assist employees with benefit questions and assist with division open enrollment process
- Regular meetings and reporting to the Division President on; retention, employee feedback, recommendations on ways to improve retention
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications:
- 6-10 years of human resources experience including at the manager level including; employee relations, workers comp management; training; and recruiting
- At least 5 years of people management experience
- Sound understanding of compliance and employment law and legislation specific to Washington
- Effective communication skills - must have the ability to deliver appropriate messages based on client and type of need
- Building trust and credibility - will act as a trusted advisor to employees and management staff
- Adaptability - must be flexible and respond quickly and with a sense of urgency
- Business Acumen - Must be able to understand the day-to-day operations of the business and ensures consultation, projects and services delivered address business needs
- Demonstrated success in people and project management
Preferred Experience:
- PHR/SPHR Certificate preferred
- Previous experience with ADP, iCIMS, or other HRIS/ATS systems a plus
- Bi-lingual in Spanish/English a plus
- BA or Master's in related field preferred
Supplemental Information:
