Job Title Organizational Change Management Lead

Job Summary:
The OCM Lead is responsible for designing and delivering a scalable approach to help Associates navigate the three stages of change for a given change initiative, with the goal of enhancing organizational performance. This Associate designs and coordinates end to end change adoption plans inclusive of Stakeholder Coalitions, Leader Activation, Learning, and Broad Communications. They measure progress and effectiveness of their plans and provide on-going status updates to project sponsors to maximize the ROI of organizational initiatives.
Principal Duties:
Understand and apply Wawa’s Change Management strategy, methodology, standards, and workflow to moderate- to transformational-change initiatives as assigned, considering the full duration of the initiative from readiness to sustainability.
Uncover Associate impacts from change initiatives across all stakeholder groups through consultation, surveys, focus groups, observations and other information-gathering techniques.
Synthesize Associate impacts to understand their journey across the 3 stages of change (Endings, Transitions, and New Beginnings); identify and outline key milestones and adoption risks along that journey at the individual, team, or persona level, as needed.
Build and track the execution of Stakeholder Coalition plans to inspire cross-functional advocacy and enablement. Identify key influencers and monitor their progress through the change; suggest preferred senders and key talking points to influence adoption and sustainment of intended project outcomes
Build and implement Leader Activation plans to localize change adoption and ensure accountability for change enablement resides with the Associate’s leader; identify scalable tactics to ensure Wawa Leaders are equipped to coach, communicate, and drive results throughout the change initiative
Partner and collaborate with the Learning team to build and deploy Learning and Training plans that will ensure Associates develop skill proficiency to meet new expectations
Build Broad Communication strategies to bring awareness, share information, and foster positive influence for large groups of Associates impacted by change. Partner with Internal Communications, Public Relations, and Store Operations Communications teams to implement plans in streamlined and cohesive ways
Measure adoption of the change ongoing throughout rollout and track progress towards delivering agreed-upon outcomes. Use qualitative and quantitative measurement techniques to collect and share reportable insights. Evolve and add to plans and tactics, as needed, to maximize Associate adoption
Ensure all change initiatives are successfully transitioned to ongoing “business as usual” owners and workflows
Collaborate with Project Managers throughout each change initiative to ensure successful integration, coordination, and execution of change-related activities within the broader project plan and timeline
Calculate and monitor costs of change activities to align with project budgets and ensure smart investments
Communicate a compelling case for the need to execute change enablement activities with partners across various functions and levels to gain approval and alignment from the business for all strategies, plans, and related recommendations
Represent the voice and perspective of the Associate through all interactions with partners, navigating competing priorities and resistance as needed to ensure all Associates receive a positive experience throughout the change process
Design and deliver assets as needed for each change initiative, including but not limited to communication drafts, learning materials, guides, support documents, and visual communication resources

Basic Qualifications:
Bachelors’ degree preferred, advanced degree a plus
Three to five years Change Management field experience preferred
Formal Change Management certification or CCMP preferred
Three to five years demonstrated ability to lead projects and workgroup teams across various functions and/or project styles (ex: waterfall, Agile, etc.)
Experience with MS Office Suite and basic project management software/tools
