We are currently seeking a purpose-driven candidate with an ownership mentality to fill an open position as a Process Engineer I. This position will be located in Rolla and Vichy, MO.
Summary:
Evaluates, selects, develops and implements programs for product and process characterization, continuous product and process improvements, equipment design,specification and installation and implementation of Quality Systems
Responsibilities:
Perform product and process characterization.
Independently evaluate, select, and apply standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria.
Perform work that involves planning, investigations, projects, and equipment that may have complex features requiring training.
Perform assignments that may include test of materials, preparation of specifications, process study, research investigations, report preparation, and other activities of limited scope requiring knowledge of principles and techniques commonly employed.
Accept assignments that include defined objectives and scope; ensure projects get finalized.
May supervise and coordinate the work of technicians or others who assist in specific assignments.
Ensure continuous improvements in products, processes, and systems.
May be included in facility projects in a limited capacity.
Initiate action to prevent occurrence of non-conformities.
Follow internally specified processes to ensure good documentation and record retention.
Possibility for monthly on call schedule. May need to take calls outside of normal business hours.
Education & Credentials:
Bachelor's degree (B. S.) in Chemical Engineering; or other related degree
Equivalent combination of education and related experience.
