The Consulting Engineers Group (CEG) is seeking a Revit Modeler/Drafter to join its team in Mount Prospect, IL (Chicago NW suburb).

Essential Duties and Functions:

  • Layout erection drawings of structural and precast drawings.
  • Detailing and modeling of the precast project using Revit.
  • Coordinate and consult with other project team members to design layout or detail components, and structural systems of precast structure or building.
Requirements

 

  • Associates Degree in a related field (experience can be substituted for degree)
  • Perform essential duties and functions
  • Knowledge and understanding of engineering concepts and terminology
  • Knowledge and understanding of standard drafting and engineering practices and methods
  • Knowledge and understanding of CAD/BIM standards and software
  • Must be self-motivated and have a desire for continued learning and personal growth
  • Must be highly detail-oriented with excellent organization skills
  • Must have the ability to think critically, innovate, and solve challenging technical problems
  • Must possess a positive attitude towards project challenges
  • Must have effective time management and logical decision-making ability
  • Must possess a strong work ethic, the ability to handle pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Must possess mental and emotional fitness

Preferred:

  • Proficiency and 1-year of Revit (2006-2022) experience
  • Experience with precast concrete detailing
  • Experience with Microsoft Office software
  • Experience with Bluebeam Revu

Physical Demands:

  • Must be able to concentrate for extended periods of time paying close attention to detail
  • Must be able to sit or stand for extended periods of time at a desk and working on a computer
  • Must have the manual dexterity required to use a desktop computer and peripherals
