MSA has an opportunity for a Senior Project Engineer - Plumbing at any of our following Wisconsin offices: Milwaukee, Madison, Baraboo, Appleton, or Kiel on the Building Service Line. Responsibilities
The work you will do
- Design of plumbing systems including calculations, layouts, sizing, equipment selections, specification, and coordination. Fire protection scope of work design specification and layout
- Drawing development using AutoCAD and Revit
- Perform code reviews
- Shop drawing and submittal review and processing
- Quantity take-offs and cost estimates
- Project management and client interaction opportunities
- Assist with mentoring junior technicians and engineers
Qualifications
What you bringSkills & Knowledge / Education & Experience:
- Master or Journey Plumber license required
- PE license required
- 6 or more years of prior commercial plumbing design experience as an engineering MEP consultant or plumbing contractor required
- Experience with architectural projects such as schools, municipal buildings, health care facilities and commercial buildings preferred
- Prior experience coordinating a project from start to finish with both contractors and clients preferred
- Experience with Revit and AutoCAD preferred
- Prior project management experience would be a plus
- Excellent planning and organizational skills required for fast-paced and multi-tasking environment with the ability to coordinate this information across disciplines
