Overview
MSA has an opportunity for a Project Engineer at our Beaver Dam office on the Public Works service line. You will have the opportunity to see, and contribute in, projects from start to finish. Our clients tend to be 90 miles or less away from our office so you can stay close to home every day of the week as well as have an impact on your local communities. The ideal candidate will have a track record of successfully working with municipal clients in the Beaver Dam area with the ability to present technical solutions to clients yet understands the importance of exceptional listening skills to create and maintain client relationships.

Responsibilities
The work you will do
- Project management including project planning, scoping, budgeting and QA/QC
- Client relations including council meetings with clients
- Design of municipal infrastructure projects
- Assist with mentoring junior engineering staff
- Preparation of plans, details, specifications, and bidding documentsPreparation of technical reports and regulatory permits for projects
- Development of project funding packages with assistance from funding staff
Qualifications
What you bringSkills & Knowledge / Education & Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering required
- 4+ years of civil engineering experience including general municipal and design and construction is required
- PE license required, WI PE preferred
- Previous client liaison and project management experience or a desire to step into that role is required
- Solid written and verbal communication skills
- Desire to work in a consulting environment
