Additional Compensation Details:
- $22.69-$29.51 per hour Dependent on Experience and Location of Role
- Potential 90-day performance-based raise
- Yearly review with possibility of increase based on performance and tenure
Responsibilities
The Role
To provide administrative human resources assistance to site specific division. This is an employee facing position. The HR Coordinator is able to answer general HR questions and knows when to escalate complex problems and issues. The HR Coordinator is responsible for creating and maintaining confidential personnel files, managing anniversary and service award program, uploading new and current employee data into HRIS, running daily-weekly-monthly audit reports using LMS and HRIS system for compliance auditing. The coordinator will be trained as a bac-up on all new hire orientation protocol, other duties assigned by the management team.
Essential Responsibilities Include, but Not Limited To
- Answers routine inquiries from employees regarding benefits, company policies and procedures, vacation and sick accumulation, and internal job postings.
- Help employees resolve common issues related to: timeclock registration, building access, timecard issues, HRIS access and transit passes.
- Perform employment verifications in accordance with company procedures.
- Upload all new hire forms into HRIS, work with the Safety and Food Safety team to ensure all relevant new hire courses are assigned in the LMS.
- Review and pull termed files monthly, organize the annual term file storage and purge project
- Monthly updates to the employee communication boards and intranet: anniversaries, employee spotlight, employee news and info section.
- Maintains employee personnel files in line with company policies and government regulations. Retains records in line with company record retention requirements.
- Work with managers to assign employees coursework in RMC (learning management system).
- Maintains knowledge of internal human resources functions and ensures policies, procedures, and reporting are in compliance.
- Process Seattle unemployment claims
- Maintain accurate updated OSHA, Accident Log.
- Processing worker’s compensation claims, maintain updated work comp files.
- Participate in special projects necessary for the department and/or company.
Qualifications
Required Skills and Experience
- Ability to maintain the highly confidential nature of human resources work.
- Must possess stellar time management skills and be able to meet task deadlines.
- Strong attention to detail, and with pragmatic problem-solving skills
- At least two years administrative or human resources experience.
- Adept computer and word processing skills.
- Must be flexible and able to multitask.
- Ability to plan, organize, implement, and follow through on projects.
- Exhibit tact, above average communication skills, ability to work effectively with both employees and managers.
- All employees are responsible for food safety and are expected to notify the appropriate manager, supervisor or key personnel if they witness any compromise to food safety or food quality.
- Ability to convey a positive and professional image to applicants, employees and external customers.
