About the Role

We are seeking a hands-on, detail‑oriented Assistant Controller to support the company’s financial operations and strengthen the integrity of its reporting. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys variety in their work, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is ready to step into a key leadership position on the accounting team.

Key Responsibilities

Oversee daily accounting operations, including AP, AR, general ledger maintenance, and bank reconciliations.
Support month‑end and year‑end close processes including journal entries, accruals, and account reconciliations.
Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis.
Ensure adherence to GAAP and help maintain strong internal controls, accounting policies, and documentation.
Collaborate with department leaders to provide financial insights and operational support.
Support internal and external audit processes.
Identify opportunities for process improvements and help implement efficiency‑driven solutions.
Serve as a backup to the Controller and help mentor junior accounting staff.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA or MBA preferred.
4–7+ years of progressive accounting experience.
Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting.
Proficiency in Excel; experience with ERP systems preferred.
Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
