Overview
Job Summary
This position is responsible for maintaining accurate records of product inventory by performing daily counts and taking steps to correct and prevent discrepancies.
Typical Duties and Responsibilities
- Perform daily cycle counts of pick slot product. Perform rechecks of identified count differences between system and manual count. Communicate issues requiring further follow-up.
- Perform rotating monthly audits of reserve product in aisles, includes verification of UPC, slot placement and count.
- Perform daily/weekly counts of perishable items such as meat and dairy, includes verification of expiration dates, counts, product condition and quality. Communicate issues to supervisor and buyers.
- Conduct as necessary any search to locate misplaced or missing product. Input system adjustments and document appropriately.
- Perform other duties as assigned or needed.
Requirements
Experience:
- Performing basic math (add, subtract, divide and multiply, understanding of working with negative, as well as, positive numbers).
Ability to:
- Be self-directed, dependable, demonstrate initiative and possess excellent time management skills.
- Communicate utilizing excellent verbal, written and inter-personal communication skills.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem-solving skills with strong attention to detail in order to effectively monitor progress and complete assignments.
- Establish and maintain good rapport with co-workers, supervisors, vendors, customers and others.
- Perform repetitious work accurately and with mental alertness.
- Learn and memorize location of product and warehouse procedure.
- Utilize proficiency with numeral data and calculations.
- Perform quick and accurate 10-key data entry.
- Prioritize and perform a variety of simultaneous tasks (multi-tasking).
- Perform primary duties with efficiency and accuracy.
Machines and Equipment Operated:
- Computer keyboard, mouse and other office machines (copier, scanner, fax machine, telephone, etc.).
