Make an Impact 

As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will generate and translate complex structural systems into final solutions for various building types as part of a multi-disciplinary team. You will provide leadership within the structural engineering discipline including everything from structural analysis, technical documentation, modelling, and design across all stages of the project from conception to construction.

 

Deliver Results 

  • Coordinate the work of the structural team through the schematic design development and construction document phase of a project. Review completed reports, submittals, drawings, estimates and calculations for accuracy.
  • Prepare engineering proposals. Provide input on anticipated complexity and hours needed to complete work in order to help general proposals for new work.
  • Determine and promote the best use of design software/technology, including Revit, AutoCAD, BSD Speclink, RAM, RISA, and other emerging technologies, for presentation and production purposes.
  • Provide extensive expertise in the technical aspects of the structural design including code compliance, specifications, system integration and constructability.
  • Mentor, train, and direct the work of less experienced staff.
  • Attend site-visits to resolve issues encountered in the field such as unforeseen conditions, code issues, and interpretation of construction documents.
  • Foster and maintain a collaborative professional working relationship with various internal and external disciplines.

Required Qualifications 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from an EAC/ABET-accredited program or equivalent in education and experience required for professional licensure.
  • Licensed Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) with current license.
  • Minimum of 10 years of structural engineering experience with a wide variety of project types.
  • Strong knowledge of Revit and/or AutoCAD.
  • Experience using RISA or RAM Elements.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and Outlook.

Preferred Qualifications 

  • Master’s degree.
  • Multiple state licensures.
  • NCEES registration and NSPE membership.
  • CSI-CDT certification.
  • LEED AP BD+C or WELL AP certification.
  • Experience in Microsoft Project, SharePoint, and Teams.
