We are seeking Expressions of Interest for the following roles:
The Role - Senior Synthetic Environment Specialist
Support the PLEXSYS Australia Synthetic Environment and Training Manager to provide support to users of the PLEXSYS Ecosystem, as well as providing training and support to other Synthetic Environment Specialists and other employees with operational expertise. Responsibilities include, management of help desk operations, development, and implementation of proactive customer support initiatives. Coordinate with development stakeholders to assign Synthetic Environment Specialists, providing input for software development teams, assist in designing software user- interfaces, develop product databases, exercise scenarios, use PLEXSYS products to drive live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) exercises/events, and train internal and external users in the operation of PLEXSYS products
Desirable Criteria
Sound understanding of Synthetic Training Environments
Experience in Multi-Domain Warfare
Minimum of 6 Years’ experience in Australian, or Allied Defence Forces
Understanding of Systems Approach to Defence Learning concepts
Experience in Managing small to medium teams
Experience in Exercise Development
The Role - Synthetic Environment Specialist
Support the PLEXSYS Australia Synthetic Environment Team to provide support to users of the Synthetic Environment. Responsibilities include, support of help desk operations, development, and implementation of proactive customer support initiatives. Provide input to software development teams, assist in designing software user- interfaces, develop product databases, exercise scenarios, use PLEXSYS products to drive live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) exercises/events, and train internal and external users in the operation of PLEXSYS products.
Desirable Criteria
Understanding of simulation based training
Minimum of 4 Years’ experience in Australian, or Allied Defence Forces
Experience in computer-based warfare applications
Experience in computer based radio communications
The Role – Tactical Datalink Specialist
The Tactical Datalink (TDL) Specialist will provide support to users and designers of Synthetic Training Systems, as well as providing operational guidance to Systems Engineers and Software Developers in Tactical Datalink Operations. Responsibilities include, Coordination with development stakeholders to ensure the TDL Training System, including all PLEXSYS products, meets technical and operational requirements
The TDL specialist will work with external stakeholders to provide solutions for software and hardware integration into the training environment. Assist in designing software user interfaces, develop product databases, exercise scenarios, use selected products to drive live, virtual, and constructive (LVC) exercises/events for use in Tactical Datalink Training scenarios, and train internal and external users in the operation of TDL training system
Desirable Criteria
Completed JT-301 JICO training.
Experience developing training systems and tools
Familiar with computer components, networks, and ability to diagnose basic software issues
Experience with Microsoft Office products Word, Access, PowerPoint, and Excel is required
The Role – Systems/Integration Engineer
Support the design and development of training systems both from a LVC simulation perspective and Tactical Data Links over a geographically disperse area. Prepare and deliver quality written guidance, briefings, Concepts of Employment, and training material for LVC and Tactical Data Link Systems. Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure that operational and technical requirements are met, work to provide effective solutions using selected products or identify other products in the event of a technological gap, use of the System Engineering principles to manage the lifecycle development of projects including completing integration work as required and work with external customers to gather use cases
Desirable Criteria
Experience developing training systems and tools.
Familiar with computer components, networks, and ability to diagnose basic software issues
A high-level understanding of Tactical Data Links, Test and Evaluation, and LMMT (Link Monitoring and Management System)
Display advanced working knowledge of specifications and requirement documentation during system development.
Advanced understanding and workable knowledge of the contents within each TDL standards document
The Role - Security and Administration Assistant
Experienced and driven Administration Assistant/ who is looking to expand their skills to include a security focus. The organisation will equip you with all the skills and resources to be successful in the Security and Administration role. The successful applicant will play a pivotal role in ensuring PLEXSYS Australia maintains the requirements for ongoing membership of the Defence Industry Security Program (DISP).
