OverviewThe Federal Deposit Insurance Corporation (FDIC) maintains stability and public confidence in the nation’s financial system by insuring deposits, examining and supervising financial institutions, and managing receiverships. The FDIC, through its Division of Resolutions and Receiverships (DRR), is responsible for all activities related to the closing, management, and resolution of failed financial institutions. The Senior Application Support Developer develops, maintains, and enhances applications.
This role has the potential to be hybrid/remote.
Responsibilities - Analyzes business and functional requirements, architecture, and hardware limitations and implements technology to fulfill the requirements.
- Performs software development activities such as design, construction, debugging, testing, component integration, and maintenance using best practices and techniques, specifications, relevant standards and tools.
- Profiles, analyzes, optimizes, and enhances software to improve operating time, efficiency, or functionality.
- Designs complex Graphical User Interfaces (GUIs) that are user-friendly and intuitive.
- Ensures work products and deliverables meet software development, quality assurance, infrastructure, data integrity, security, and privacy standards and BOA/TO requirements.
- Provides technical leadership to less experienced staff in same role.
Qualifications- Ten (10) or more years of experience developing and implementing applications.
- Ten (10) or more years of experience using SharePoint, Microsoft Power Platform, Visual Studio, C#, Visual Basic, or other similar software to create applications for clients.
- Five (5) or more years of experience in Microsoft 365 administration.
- Experience in developing proof of concepts and creating technical architecture components.
- Experience analyzing and resolving technical issues relating to system architecture.
- Experience creating and maintaining work products for application and data domains.
- Experience providing technical guidance to clients.
- Experience working on Rapid Application Development (RAD) and using agile principles.
- Experience developing presentations and presenting to clients.
- Ability to work effectively with others in a team-oriented setting.
- Ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing.
