We are seeking an experienced and strategic Senior Account Director who will be responsible for nurturing and expanding key client relationships while driving growth opportunities within our portfolio. The successful candidate will be a proactive leader who understands our client's business needs, can identify new avenues for growth, and can collaborate with cross-functional teams, creating an environment where your teams are empowered to deliver outstanding results. The Senior Account Director will report directly to the Client Services Director
The Senior Account Director will always be a step ahead of the client's needs and those of their customers, ensuring the work we develop and deliver goes beyond ‘delivery’. Your adaptability to the unexpected is outstanding, and your ability to cultivate trusting relationships with clients ensures project and team success no matter the brief. Strong communication skills and the ability to maintain momentum from briefing to reconciliation are critical to success in this role.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Growing new and existing client relationships, identifying and engaging decision-makers
- Lead the development of client briefs with clients, translating these briefs into the internal teams.
- Engaging creative and production experts to meet client objectives with best-in-class production solutions, supporting cross-departmental collaboration
- Ensuring outstanding results from the team, establishing and maintaining a high-performance culture, alongside the Production Lead
- Where relevant, work in partnership with the Strategy team to lead client workshops, gathering insights to develop optimal approaches and opportunities for account growth
- Conduct regular account reviews to assess performance, address concerns, and identify areas for improvement
- Producing accurate and realistic estimates and invoicing to ensure all work is billed accurately and in a timely manner
- Tracking, monitoring and reporting on the status of all jobs as defined by the client(s)
- Produce comprehensive and accurate reports and project outlines
- Financial responsibilities include monthly billing, forecasting, expenses and updating clients on the same
- Lead client presentations, negotiations, and contract renewals with a focus on value proposition and growth potential
- Act as a point of escalation for complex client issues and work to resolve them efficiently
MEASUREMENTS OF SUCCESS
- Annual Net Revenue target
- Profit margin on account budgets
- New business or organic growth opportunities identified and won
PROFESSIONAL EXPERIENCE
- 7+ years experience in a creative agency or corporate environment. Experience working in B2B marketing for enterprise clients is highly desired
- 5+ years’ experience in experiential marketing. Demonstrated experience in all aspects across the customer journey including content and communication strategy and production as well as a thorough understanding of the context of live events in the marketing mix
- Demonstrated ability to retain and build client accounts
- Strong project management skills, handling multiple projects simultaneously
- Excellent commercial and financial acumen, from budgeting to operations
- Exceptional client service and interpersonal skills including effective presentation, communication, listening and negotiation
- Ability to deliver thought leadership around creativity, industry knowledge and best practice
- Comprehensive working knowledge and experience in omnichannel campaigns
- Strong understanding of the IT/Tech event industry space
