Cybersecurity Engineer III
SimVentions, consistently voted one Virginia's Best Places to Work, is looking for a Cybersecurity Analyst/Engineer to join our team to perform cybersecurity services across Marine Corp systems' life cycle.
Responsibilities
- Develop Assessment and Authorization (A&A) packages for various systems using the Risk Management Framework (RMF) process
- Lead the development and maintenance of security documentation such as: - System Security Plan - Privacy Impact Assessment - Configuration Management Plan - Contingency Plan and Contingency Plan Test Reports - Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) - Annual FISMA assessment - Incident Reports - Develop Standard Operating Procedures (SOP)
- Perform annual security assessments
- Updating, maintaining and monitoring numerous Site and System Accredidation Packages
- Consult with and brief executive management on compliance matters
- Collaborate with system engineers and technicians on the remediation of findings
- Facilitate Discussions for system deployments and A&A requirements with ISSM and Project Teams
- Review Nessus vulnerability results and develop/assist with POAM creation for projects
- Review, research, and submit hardware for approved use and entry into program spaces
- Support a variety of stand-alone and networked systems
- Work with system administrators, engineers, and Information System Security Manager (ISSM) to create or update system/site policies, procedures, and process guides
- Supporting STIG assessments for RMF package development and supporting continuous monitoring
- Perform tasking required to add new sites to include documentation requirements tracking and annual reviews
Required Skills & Experience:? ?
- Knowledgeable with Information Systems Security
- Working knowledge of RMF
- Experience working on classified processing systems and handling classified material
- Experience reviewing NESSUS vulnerability scans and reviewing audit logs
- Professional and effective interpersonal skills and the ability to provide face-to-face customer support
- DoD 8570 IAT Level II or III certifications (i.e. Security+)
Education:??
- HS Diploma or GED
- Security + Certification
Clearance: An ACTIVE Secret Clearance is required for this position. Applicants selected will be subject to a security investigation and may need to meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information. US Citizenship is required to obtain a clearance.

Compensation at SimVentions is determined by a number of factors, including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, education, training, security clearance, work location, skills, knowledge, and competencies, as well as alignment with our corporate compensation plan and contract specific requirements.
The projected annual compensation range for this position is $90,000 -$150,000 (USD). This estimate reflects the standard salary range for this position and is just one component of the total compensation package that SimVentions offers.
