JOB SUMMARY
The Warehouse Supervisor maintains sound operational practices of the organization and leads the team to drive performance expectations both operational and administratively.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure all paperwork is signed, properly documented, all code dates recorded and any shortages flagged
- Direct movement of shipments from shipping & receiving platform to storage and work areas
- Determine space requirements and position of shipment in trucks and layout position of shipment
- Ensure all products leave in a quality package, all loads are loaded to ensure the package is delivered to end customer in the best condition
- Responsible for maintaining accurate inventory counts and procedures
- Manage the put away of finished goods daily
- Inspect material handling equipment for defects and notify maintenance personnel or contacts outside service facility for repair
- Manage stock rotation daily
- Pull and put in hold area all close coded items and hold products
- Adjust errors and deal with complaints
- Report, schedule, and manage warehouse personnel
- Manage accuracy and quality of incoming materials per Litehouse Quality Receiving Standards of both present and future requirements
- Study shipping notices, bills of lading, invoices, orders, and other records to determine shipping priorities, work assignments, and shipping methods required to meet shipping and receiving schedules
- Requires supporting pickers and receivers as a back-up or an extra resource
- Oversee incoming and outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy, and condition of shipment
- Coordinate the loading and unloading of trucks and ensure that load locks and pallet jacks are secured
- Team responsibility for general housekeeping
- Maintain LH Quality procedures for cleanliness of company and outside carrier trailers
- All products that need to be dispositioned are to be dealt with daily and contained in one area
- Timely communication with other departments regarding internal and external customer needs
- Study standardized procedures SOP's
- Provide a safe work environment at all times
- Weekend work required as necessary
- Responsible for all sample shipments
- Responsibility to adhere to Food Safety policies and report food safety and quality concerns to their supervisor
- Other activities and duties as assigned
- Pick Orders and Load out bound trucks
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Education: High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Equivalent combination of education and experience may be substituted
- Experience: 3 -4 years of experience in the field or in a related area
- Familiar with a variety of the field's concepts, practices, and procedures
- Relies on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish goals
- Read / Interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals
- Write routine reports and correspondence
- Mathematical skills
- Ability to establish & maintain effective working relationships with all contacts inside and outside of the company.
